About Byuzuye Pivot Organization

Hello, I am Issa. The struggle my brother faced with mental illness and its toll on my family inspired me to reimagine mental health care in Rwanda. We aim to establish a premier health center dedicated to providing treatment and care for those with mental disorders and illnesses through both in-patient and out-patient programs. Our vision is to create a facility that employs the latest treatments and prioritizes patient respect and dignity.

Our Purpose

To serve as the eyes for those who cannot see

To be the prayer companion for those who cannot pray and lack a partner

To act as the voice for those who cannot speak up for themselves

To provide care for those who are without caregivers

To offer love to those who are unloved

And to deliver the fullness of joy to the act of living

Hands holding a light bulb with fairy lights inside, glowing in the dark.

Our Values:

  • Christ centeredness

  • Compassion

  • Integrity

  • Accountability and Transparency

  • Inclusivity

  • Resilience

Inspiration:

This vision is born out of the agony of my brother, Meddy, who has persistently suffered mental illness for now more than 15 years.
